This opportunity is for a Performance and Reliability Engineer on site at our client. As an employee of Productive Resources, you will plan, coordinate, perform product design, testing and/or analysis work for a complete project of moderate scope or for a significant portion or a sub-system of a major and diverse project. Operate in a team environment, providing input to design solutions and participating in design reviews. May assign, coordinate and review portions of the work to support personnel. Decisions are made within established guidelines and may be reviewed by supervisors.
  • Develop Reliability goals based on customer requirements and Division strategy for the new product.
  • Perform Inherent Reliability Assessments for new products to validate reliability goals.
  • Use quantitative techniques to assist in the development of the Product Specification.
  • Develop a Product Verification and Validation plan to measure performance and reliability growth of the product.
  • Research customer usage patterns and convert this information into product specifications.
  • Incorporate information into the field test plan.
  • Facilitate Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Weibull Analysis, and other activities to grow the Initial Reliability of the product.
  • Establish and track the Initial Reliability of the product during the design phase of the process.
  • Develop and track the field test plan.
  • Be proactive to recognize product weaknesses and recommend design fixes.
  • Recommend priorities to the design team for corrective action based on factual test data.
  • Use advanced statistical analysis techniques to analyze test data and make realistic reliability projections.
  • Analyze warranty and field data for use in continuous improvement of current and new product.

  • Solid communicator, who thrives on solving problems and working in a team environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Reliability, Mechanical, or Agricultural Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to interpret, analyze, and present technical information using practical judgment.
  • Capable of functioning effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong facilitation and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and manage concurrent activities.
  • Ability to be Proactive, Persistent, Assertive, Initiator, and Self-Starting.
  • Knowledge of utility vehicles and riding lawn equipment.
  • Demonstrate understanding of product reliability goals, reliability growth and reliability prediction.
  • Experience with instrumentation and data acquisition equipment.
  • Performance Engineering, Field Service, Design Engineering, or Applied Mechanics experience.
  • Advanced degree such as an MBA or in an Engineering discipline.
