This opportunity is for a PV&V Test Engineer on site at our client. As an employee of Productive Resources, you will perform basic product design, testing and/or analysis work for a defined portion of a project. Operate in a team environment, providing input to design solutions and participating in design reviews. Develop recommendations within established guidelines; work and decisions are reviewed by supervisors before implementation.
·         Lead development and execution of V2Net activity testing for vehicle and hydraulic lab activity requests, working to verify application requirements, performance goals, and vehicle design specifications.
·         Utilize the V2Net system to process activities for test execution, including updating details (schedule, acceptance criteria, procedures, results, conclusions) and closure of activities and communication to stakeholders on key dates and resource availability.
·         Coordinate tractor, component, and test cell resources, clarify acceptance criteria and test requirements, conduct planning meetings, organize test requests, write shop orders, and provide wage employee work direction and technical support across up to three shifts.
·         Hold regular data review meetings with stakeholders during test execution.
·         Determine test needs and if results meet or fail acceptance criteria, issuing EETS/NCCA events when criteria are not met.
·         Utilize test activity scheduling tool for understanding test cell resource availability
·         Post process test data to analyze and summarize results into reports for review and inclusion in V2Net activities, utilizing tools and templates standard within the team, including Microsoft Excel, Power Point, GlyphWorks, and National Instruments DIAdem.
·         Participate in regular team meetings to review schedule, testing issues, department information updates, and staff updates.

  • Basic understanding of agricultural tractors, including chassis, operator station, drivetrain, hydraulics, and engines.
  • Basic understanding of tractor operations.
  • Basic understanding of instrumentation, including strain gages, load cells, thermocouples, pressure transducers, flow meters, data acquisition systems, and data collection best practices.
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills to define testing needs and requirements.
  • Data analysis of simple to complex tests.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate and work with cross function teams, including wage employees and teams around the world.
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field is required
  • Must be willing to support test cell operation 24/5 (phone or email on 2nd and 3rd shift) plus some weekends
Preferred Skills:
  • 2+ years of product engineering experience
  • Good negotiation skills
  • A desire to improve test processes and data analysis techniques
  • Technical expertise in hydraulic, cooling, or engine systems
