This opportunity is for a Material Coordinator II on site at our client. As an employee of Productive Resources, you will coordinate the flow of material in multiple departments of the factory, which may include shipping and receiving. Ensure that the production personnel have the parts they need to produce the desired product(s). Oversee and ensure that the inventory is correct and on time and identifies problems and makes suggestions involving production schedules. Coordinate the activities for the tactical execution of a production plan within the factory. Work in larger and broader groups. May supervise or provide work direction to hourly material handlers, stock chasers, or truckers.
 
Duties:
  • Audit picking activities to assist in improving accuracy of orders to be shipped to customers, including entering results in the appropriate system.
  • Resolve inventory discrepancies as reported from daily Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) reports and other miscellaneous reports dealing with inventory.
  • Perform transactions to update inventory because of parts transfers, lost inventory, or inventory shortages.
  • Aid wage employees relative to routine storage and shipping inquiries.
  • Gather daily pick orders, separate according to pick type and distributes to proper processing area.
  • Perform general administrative duties on an as needed basis to meet administrative support needs of internal and external customers.

  • Knowledge of basic data analysis techniques. (e.g. pareto charts, histograms, pie and bar charts and control plans.) - Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.
Formal education or training required to perform the essential functions of the job. Includes degrees, certifications, licenses and/or registration requirements.
  • Degree in a Business/Management discipline or equivalent experience. - Technical degree or apprenticeship (1-2 years or equivalent).
  • Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline or equivalent experience. - Technical degree or apprenticeship (1-2 years or equivalent).
  • Degree in a Supply Management discipline or equivalent experience. Technical degree or apprenticeship (1-2 years or equivalent).
  • Degree in an Accounting/Finance discipline or equivalent experience. - Technical degree or apprenticeship (1-2 years or equivalent) Relevant.
Preferred
  • Experience in clerical role. - 1 - 3 years.
  • Manufacturing and/or operations experience. - Less than 1 year.
  • Experience working in one or more operations support functions such as warehousing, logistics, etc. - Less than 1 year.
